JMU — Community Calendar Spring/Summer 2012
Change Language:
Newly Invigorated And Seeking Your Input

We are energized and focused on our mission — to advance a positive and mutually beneficial relationship among JMU, Harrisonburg and Rockingham County — and we are encouraged by the progress we’ve made and excited at the opportunities the future holds. And with more than 100 members, we are delighted that so many community members have joined our effort.

In the past several months, we’ve had several things happen that will inform our decisions moving forward. We hosted several events on campus, one at the Leeolou Alumni Center and one at the John C. Wells Planetarium, and have another planned for this summer that introduces University Park to the local community. We’ve also conducted several community forums with local businesses and students about ways to collaborate for the betterment of our community.
These types of activities are major steps in the right direction.

As we move forward, we want your input — what do you think can and should be done to strengthen the relationship between JMU and the Harrisonburg and Rockingham County community? Are there other things you see from your position in the community you’d like to share? What kinds of information and stories would you like to see reflected in this Community Calendar? Would you like to receive an email publication? Please tell us your preferences. You can get in touch with us by using the contact information below or by using the postage- paid postcard in this calendar. We want to hear from you!

Sincerely yours,
