JMU Campaign — Strategic Plan 2014-2020
Change Language:
The New Value Proposition

July 1, 2014 marked the start of a new strategic plan for James Madison University. President Alger brings to Madison a keen view of the higher education landscape, and his plan is to build on the hybrid model wisely conceived and built by former presidents Linwood H. Rose and his predecessor Ronald E. Carrier. This is a winning strategy. Because now that higher education’s critics and the Gallup Purdue Index have sounded the wake-up call that value in education is not about prestigious reputations, but about student engagement with superior faculty, JMU is positioned to become the national model of the engaged university.
