There are a couple Road Rallies also on the calendar. The Gingerman Driving School will be held in South Haven, Michigan, which is a great summer vacation destination only about two hours from Chicago. If you have ever wondered what the excitement of DE’s is all about, sign up for a free ride with an instructor at the Taste of Driving School by emailing drivingschools@windycitybmw.com. The drive to South Haven alone should be spectacular as fall colors begin to show. If you really enjoy a scenic fall ride through some of the area’s back roads, check out this year’s fall tour. Always a great drive, and entertaining for the passengers as well by collecting clues about local points of interest along the way. On another note, doesn’t the new Breeze really look great in color? The Steering Wheel

As summer winds down, we’re shifting into top gear to wrap up the warm weather driving events. No matter what your speed preference is, there is an event for everyone.

For those that prefer to shine ‘em up and show ‘em off, VintageFest is an always popular car show for old and new BMW’s. This year’s event will add MINI’s and possibly a Rolls Royce or two.

The final autocrosses will be held in September, with bragging rights going to the class victors.
